unique
items that no one else has? If so, this trio of booklets is for you. These items date from 1994, so they are already over 25 years old!
Did you know that the Walt Disney Studios has a gas station and car wash? How about the Roof Barbershop and salon? How about massages? Even our very own Disney bank (credit union)? You can learn all about these services and more in the booklet titled, Welcome to Disney. This booklet is issued to all new hires at the Studio and Corporate. It covers facilities at the studios, discussed Environmentality (Disney's recycling efforts), includes a welcome letter from then CEO Michael Eisner, Employee Wellness, Safety, theme parks, the Disney University, and a lot of other information, including a listing of Feature Films from 1937 through 1994. It's a great piece of history that gives you an insider's glimpse into the studio. It is 21 pages, 22, if you count the inside back cover with Eisner's message.
Next up is the booklet, A Talented Team Disneyland & The Disneyland Hotel. Inside this 16 page booklet, you'll learn all about producing the Disneyland Show. In it, Walt Disney is quoted as saying, "The whole thing here is the organization. Whatever we accomplish belongs to our entire group, a tribute to our combined effort. Look at Disneyland. That was started because we had the talents to start it, the talents of the organization." This booklet introduces the reader to various departments like Costume, Employee Relations, Magic Kingdom Club, Finance, Maintenance and Construction, Material Management, Theme Park Operations, and the operations at the Disneyland Hotel.
Next up, in the red binder, is the new employee, "Welcome to Disneyland Hotel." This 34 page booklet takes a new team member through everything the need to know about the Disneyland Hotel. It lists the executives at the time, Michael Eisner, CEO, Judson C. Green, President, Walt Disney Attractions, Paul Pressler, President, Disneyland and Hideo Amemiya, VP & General Manager Disneyland Hotel. It talks about priorities of service. How to properly wear your name tag, how to take Safety seriously, notes about asbestos, courtesy, efficiency and all manner of tidbits about the Disneyland Hotel of 1994. Note that this was the original booklet that was distributed. It is in a standard red, hard paper folder created of Xerox pages.
Lastly, this trio of books includes a bonus Monorail Co-Pilot blank certificate from Walt Disney World. It is colorfully printed and properly copyrighted. It is blank so it can be copied or framed.
These booklets are unique in that they offer an unparalleled glimpse into the studio, Disneyland and the Disneyland Hotel. For fans of the old Disneyland Hotel, this trio is all about you. One of the maps inside the red booklet still shows Dancing Waters, the Falls and the Marina.
They are in original condition so there is some slight wear at the edges of some of the books as can be seen in the photos. However, having said that, all pages are intact, none are defaced, none are ripped or torn. I'm just being upfront and letting you know these are authentic and were used.
