    , M.D. dates 1857-1933 with a busy bookplate in which the central panel image of a library flanks a chair and desk, open book in front of a window - view of formal gardens, panel at head has a gear wheel, caduceus, symbol of 47th problem of Euclid, name panel at foot contains a gavel and
    biblical citation, stemmed glass and a shot glass and piece of paper. (Where's George's bottle of Scotch?) He was a genealogist, physician, and, at different times, President of Connecticut Hist. Society - something like that. No wonder he needed
    a shot glass!
    Other examples of his b/p were part of Pratt collection.
