    aircraft carrier.
    It was c
    ommissioned in June 1945, but did not participate in World War II.  Rather, it served as a transport, bringing troops home from Europe.
    CONDITION
    This 76 year old issue is complete and in good overall condition.
    It shows light to moderate overall wear.  See scans and photos.
    The issue has been folded in half horizontally and vertically.  The horizontal fold may have been an ‘original’.  I will mail the issue folded ONLY on the horizontal fold (see below), well-protected.
